There is a lot of work being done by supply chain vendors to build sustainability capability into their software products. In some cases there are specific supply chain sustainability applications like carbon emissions analysis, in other cases sustainability functionality is being built into new releases of existing products and product ranges like transportation and network management. If the old adage 'you get what you measure' is applicable here, then supply chain sustainability software can help manufacturers become 'more green' by identifying areas to concentrate on, but it is up to your business to decide that that is a priority.
